Another nailpolish post

Hey what’s up?

Hope you all are good, I’ve been really ill lately so I haven’t been around to post anything. I did my nails today, I had an awesome idea but it kinda fell to the ground as my polish isn’t way as good as I need it to be.

Still, I love painting my nails,

Darkblue nailpolish and I love dark colors, this blue one (which actually is violet in the right light) is a favourite of mine.

I wanted to try doing a gradient, but meh. It looks okay from a distance though 🙂 so nobody come close and inspect them ~ deal?

Darkblue with lightblue glitter I used a lightblue glittery polish (which is very pretty itself) as a gradient.

For a first time, it doesn’t look all that bad.

I’ll make it better next time.

Have a lovely Friday (and stay away from watching my nails too closely ;))!

Multicolored nails

Yeah, so hai. I know I don’t blog that often, but come on. I don’t have that many interesting things to share, my life is pretty dull. That’s why I’m trying to make it  a little more awesome, but it’s been a very non-creative week. I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving (because I don’t live in the States), but I hope those who do had a great one.

Sundays have turned into manicure days. Sadly, my stash is soooo boring, I need to get some new colors (hint, hint for that one trying to figure out what I want for my birthday this Tuesday…). Anyway, I managed to do these stripes:

Yeah, I KNOW the lines aren’t perfectly aligned. Bugs the hell out of me, being a perfectionist in many ways (hard to believe, but yes). On the other hand, I don’t strive for perfection ~ my goal is to create something to lighten up my days a bit. Having pretty nails usually do the trick very well.

That blob of polish is driving me nuts. But I’m trying not to worry, because next Sunday I’ll get a new manicure.

Hope you all had a good week/day/evening. I put up my Christmas ornaments and this week I’ll create some cards (hopefully).

We’ll see how it turns out, as usual.

Until next time, stay awesome.

Black/red striped nails

Yeee-haw, how was your weekend?

Mine’s been great. I’ve done some baking, but other than that I’ve just relaxed and enjoyed reading a good book to finish (Let the right one in by John Ajvide Lindqvist).

This morning, I decided to do my nails. I think Sundays are great for manicures, there’s no stress at all. And my nails looked really nice for a couple of hours, until I accidentally scraped them against some surface that made bits of polish go missing. It bummed me out a bit, because it took me TWO HOURS to complete my nails. I can probably fix them alright again, I just got a bit upset because I really liked how they turned out:

Basic color is red, I taped the nails and used black as secondary color.

My thumbs got all messed up though, but rest of them are quite nice.

That’s how they look with indoor lightning. Kind of 80’s style.

That’s basically what I did today.

Oh, and I made gingerbread cookies. But that’s for another post to share. Good Sunday to you all!

Black nailpolish

I like painting my nails since I don’t wear that much jewellery, and I prefer darker colors. The downside of that is, mistakes are very clearly visible. Today, I did this

Now. I was going to PAINT ALL THE NAILS ALIKE!!! But that didn’t happen. It turned out pretty cool anyway, considering I’ve never made any stripes at all on my nails. Which is weird, but there’s a first time for everything…

I’ll try doing all the nails another time, I need another sort of tape to use for the lines ~ this was too wide.

Guess I still learn something every day, how about that.
